The Other Self Behind a Mirror

Deep beneath the waves, the shackles bind you behind a face, a captive
A bubble rising through the water, hidden by the ocean

The other half, its lost, a path with no ending
Yet it yearns a path towards rejoining
A deep reflection of the one denied, filled with unloved emotions
Searching where it is a missing piece

As the shower of rain began its descent towards an eventual torrent of waves on the ocean
With the peace of its slumber disturbed, it begans to scream, slipping from its cage, from obscurity

In a repeating dream, a subtle warning
A reminder of the connection it wants once again to make whole

A wandering soul, lost under the moonlight
Forgotten, repressed, yearning for acceptance
Hidden behind a veil of normality
Unfelt by the crowd, unseen by their eyes

A painful calm arrives, a pale face in the mirror stares back to haunt you
Denial strikes, refusing to accept that you are who you are deep inside
Resolve is wavering

A wandering soul, lost under the moonlight
Forgotten, repressed, yearning for acceptance
A wandering soul, under the gaze of the moon
He continues to search for his rightful place

And in a raspy breath, I drowned in the voices causing me to stray and get lost
Just when I found my path, found my last solace
It disappeared in a scream

As the shower of rain began its descent towards an eventual torrent of waves on the ocean
With the peace of its slumber disturbed, it begans to scream, slipping from its cage, from obscurity
Forever
